In St. Petersburg, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Florida vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–4 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. St. Petersburg is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around St. Petersburg is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I would have to say Chris with Harborside Fleet Solutions is the best in the business. He was able diagnosed a tricky electrical issue on my bucket truck after a lightning strike that other diesel mechanics continue to miss. Chris is extremely thorough with great attention to detail. Harborside Fleet Solutions did an incredible job fixing my bucket truck without trying to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. Very knowledgeable, professional, and upfront about pricing. Highly recommended! Finally, an honest diesel mechanic! Thank You!!!!

I’ve been running a business that relies on large diesel trucks for over 30 years, and I can confidently say that having a dependable mechanic is absolutely critical to daily operations. Over the decades, I’ve used just about every diesel truck mechanic in Pinellas County—and it wasn’t until I found Harborside Fleet Solutions that I finally felt I’d found the shop. Their quality of work, professionalism, and accurate diagnostics are second to none. They don’t guess, they don’t upsell, and they take the time to do the job right. On top of that, their pricing is fair and honest, which is rare in this industry. If you own or operate a diesel truck, do yourself a favor and give these guys a try. After all these years of searching, I couldn’t be happier with Harborside Fleet Solutions. TreeCology & A Absolute Tree Services

The best in Town!! I have worked with and around trucks and heavy equipment most of my life, navigating between so called mechanics and part changers. The level of service at Harborside is unparalleled. Chris and his team take pride in their work while understanding the importance of turn around time. The level of service provided in shop to mobile service in the field has taken the pain out of our mechanical needs. If you are looking for a professional job Well done look no further, Harborside Fleet Solutions is the solution!!
